What is the UF Health Shands lawsuit? ›

On March 11, 2024, UF Health Shands Hospital (UF Health), Gainesville, Florida, entered into a $119,942 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that UF Health violated the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA).

Email will be deleted three years after being received, unless it is saved to a folder outside of your Inbox. The three-year retention policy continues to apply to mailboxes of faculty and staff after they leave the university.

How can I find out what my UF email address is? Your UF email address is the email address listed for you in the UF Identity Registry. You can view your Registry entry by going to the myUFL portal and clicking on My Account in the myUFL Menu, then Update My Directory Profile.

Many colleges will discontinue alumni email addresses a few months after graduation, so it's best to stay on the safe side and create a new one. Be sure to include your education on your resume and applications, as it's definitely something you should be proud of.
