糖尿病是困擾現代人健康的一個世界性頑疾,它的發生與氧化應激密切相關,機體內活性氧自由基的產生及增加和抗氧化能力減弱是其發生和發展的重要病理機制之一。CeO2納米材料中的Ce3+和Ce4+能夠可逆的轉化,這一性質使得納米CeO2能夠催化分解生物體內的過量活性氧自由基,因而二氧化鈰可能對氧化應激導致的糖尿病有潛在的治療作用。本項目以提高CeO2納米材料的生物安全性、增強其生物抗氧化功能為目標,利用不同方法合成CeO2納米材料並調控其中Ce3+/Ce4+比例,選取體外和體內實驗模型,研究納米CeO2對胰島β細胞的保護,探索CeO2納米顆粒的抗氧化機理以及影響其抗氧化能力的關鍵因素。並研究CeO2納米材料的藥代動力學,確定合適的劑量計量,評估其生物安全性,為它的生物應用提供基礎。[1]
